Ystad Studios Visitor Center
14 Elis Nilssons väg Solbacken-Hälsobacken
At the Ystad Studios Visitor Center, you can experience Commissioner Wallander up close. Not only will you find countless original props from the films, but you can also sit in Kurt's living room and listen to his beloved opera music. Kurt's office from the BBC film adaptations is also set up. A special room is dedicated to the author Henning Mankell, where a film is shown presenting his literary work and successful career through his publisher, Anneli Høier from Copenhagen.
A visit to the Ystad Studios Visitor Center is worth not only for Wallander fans! The studios offer interactive exhibitions where visitors can learn more about the filmmaking process. This includes everything from pre-production to post-production, giving both big and small guests the opportunity to try out some of the techniques like greenscreens. There is also plenty for children to explore. In the magical ring of Cirkus Imago, the young ones can discover the juggler, acrobat, clown, and magician in themselves. Film sets and backdrops from other Swedish productions of the children's broadcaster SVT Barn invite to reenact.
Also, you'll learn interesting facts about other TV productions like "The Bridge - Transit in Death."
