Sandskogens strand

At the eastern end of Ystad, the 4-kilometer long, white sandy beach "Ystad Sandskogs Strand" begins. Within the city area, it's relatively tourist-oriented. In addition to restaurants, a café, and kiosk, there is also a mini-golf course. If you leave the city area and follow the Österleden (E9) in an easterly direction, the Ystads Sandskog nature reserve begins. Further along, you can find a beautiful, unspoilt beach where you can almost be alone even in high season.

Along the Österleden, there are many small beach parking lots marked with the signs "Infart 1" to "Infart 8". After a short walk through the pine forest, you reach the fine sandy Ystad Sandskogs Strand. At the very eastern end of the beach, just before the village of Nybrostrand, there is an official nudist beach.

Our favorite spots on Ystad Sandskog Strand are Infart 5, 6 and 7. Here, you are mostly alone, and if it's windy, you can retreat into the dunes.
