Stenshuvud Nationalpark

The Stenshuvud National Park is a picturesque national park located near the town of Kivik. Established in 1986, it spans an area of about 390 hectares. The park is known for its diverse landscape, characterized by dense forests, open meadows, rocky coasts, and sandy beaches.

The name "Stenshuvud" translates to "Stone Head" and refers to the prominent hill in the park that elevates about 97 meters above sea level, offering an impressive view of the Baltic Sea and the surrounding landscape. The hill is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers.

The flora and fauna in the Stenshuvud National Park are diverse. The forests are home to tree species such as beech, oak, and pine, while rare species of orchids can be found on the meadows. The park is also a habitat for numerous animal species, including deer, wild boars, and a variety of bird species.
